Each year, members of the Donegal Society gather to celebrate the history and heritage of the Scots-Irish at Donegal. The 2023 Donegal Society Reunion will be held on Sunday, June 11th. This is Heritage Sunday at Donegal Presbyterian Church. The Society will host a Tea and Scones reception beginning at 9:00 a.m. accompanied by a bagpiper. A Worship Service will be held in the historic sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon in Fellowship Hall. Immediately after the luncheon, attendees will return to the sanctuary for a short annual business meeting of the Donegal Society. This year’s meeting will also include a program featuring a talk by Jack Brubaker from the Lancaster Newspaper, commonly known as “The Scribbler”.
Reunions are open to the public, and also include tours of the grounds, trees, spring, cemetery, and buildings on the property. Participation in the luncheon may require registration and a small fee to be paid upon arrival.
